Paris at Christmastime is simply magique. I couldn’t have been happier to spend early December in Paris and discover how the city changes during Christmastime!
I visited central Paris – mainly the chic 1st arrondissement to see the lovely Christmas decorations put up by the city each year. Enormous cone-shaped Christmas trees were standing tall at Place Vendôme, each one wrapped in the most delicate of string lights to create a beautiful sparkle!
Next up, I headed to the Village Royal, a tiny side-street where a gorgeous Christmas tree decorated in gold stands among luxury shops and a cute sidewalk restaurant. It’s a popular little hideaway located walking distance from Place Vendôme.
Lastly, I visited Galeries Lafayette, where the yearly Christmas decorations put up by this storied department store are a popular attraction in and of themselves! Be warned: when visiting on a weekend in December, you’ll be fighting major crowds to see the pretty decor.
