L’Appartement Sézane | Shops in Paris
In the world of e-commerce, brands are often established in the real world before making a presence online. In 2008, Morgane Sezalory took the opposite approach and dared to create the world’s first online-only French fashion label. She called it Sézane.
After routinely selling out her most popular items, Sezalory decided to open the brand’s first physical flagship location in Paris. She didn’t open a typical retail shop however, but rather a shopable appartement, complete with plush seating, coffee table books, and even a coffee machine. I took a visit to the shop this fall to see what it was all about!
PS. The “concept apartment” isn’t exclusive to Paris. The Line also debuted their own shopable apartment in Soho very recently.
