I was looking for a coffee shop in Milan when I stumbled upon this beautiful restaurant. It’s located just down the street from the US Consulate, and blends in beautifully with its grey surroundings. Walking in, I noticed there was something quite calm and relaxing about the desaturated, dark blue and grey tones of the restaurant decor. Flowers placed on the various dining tables gave a fresh scent to the space. A central bar allowed for quicker orders of coffee and pastries, while the large seating area was rather inviting for a sit-down meal, so I ended up having lunch here!
I wanted to try something different from my standard latte/cappucino so I ordered a ‘blanco’ – I can’t recall the exact name. It’s basically a cappuccino with a lot more sweet milk! I also had a lovely dish of gnocchi, chicken and vegetables, which were comforting on this chilly day in the Moscova district of Milan…
